Guest guest
Beth, Thanks for your words of support. I have been on this IUGR " rollercoaster " twice before, so you'd think I would deal with it well, but this time it's happening much earlier than before - at 26 wks vs. 32 wks+ - and also to your point, both of my uterine cavities have now been stretched by full-term pregnancies, so the issue of crowding should be less, not more - ie. if anything, this should be happening later or not at all. As far as the preeclampsic changes, I don't know if that's what they truly are - I am having swelling and headaches, but my BP is 70/110 consistently and I am not spilling any protein, so I don't know if that combination of symptoms qualifies as preeclampsia. The only thing I can think of is that I am under a LOT of stress, I am not eating or sleeping particularly well and emotionally, I feel like I am on the edge of a nervous breakdown much of the time, so I am sure this doesn't do great things for my immunity and health in general. This pregnancy has been a surprise, plus I have two kids under 4 to take care of, a full-time job, and a lovely assortment of marital issues that fall out of all of the above, so it's a heavy load to carry. Do you think that prolonged stress could translate into something physical like this? Part of me is afraid that it is, and that this is another thing that I can blame myself for Anyway, thanks for listening, I guess then next US will hopefully give a clearer picture of the situation.
