Guest guest
Hi Gang(s), Just a quick note to share that Zach's biopsy info is in ... I got a bit of information over the phone on Friday night (don't 'cha love the " real " doctors that will CALL you as soon as they get the info?? .. tommorrow I'm to have both the boys at the neuro's office to discuss the " info " from the past 3 months testings (blood work, biopsy, clinical evals, etc) so hopefully I'll have even more information tommorrow!!! But from the phone call on Friday I " heard " (hopefully I processed it correctly!!!!) that the morphology on Zach's muscle was normal, that the pathologist didn't confirm NOR rule out mitochondria diseases but that there weren't any " ragged fibers " or something else (didn't catch the pronunciation). That there were enzyme tests done and that info would have to be explained by the othere doctor tommorrow. The MDD that called Friday (My knight in flying lab coat) that is the one that got all this stuff " done " (including fighting the ins. co with our PCP) said that this was his " first " biopsy and that he was learning right along with us ... ya know I truely don't mind that at all!!! Rather have one that is interested in " learning " than the " Oh trust me ... " types but that's neither here nor there <wink>. The MDD said that he was sorry he didn't call me right away but took that extra week to " learn " enough to share with me the little that he could ... on Friday he said he'd get an appt for us to meet with the other doctor that would be able to go into specific details .. I totally expected to have to go get the lab/pathology info then research it myself while waiting for an appt for the other doctor thinking it would be weeks but this morning at 9:30 am that office called to schedule an appt for Tommrrow at 8:15am. I would of posted about this info on Friday but my out-laws got here and this is the first chance I've had to be online to sit down and try to " type " it all out. Thanks for all the encouragement and comforting ... it's been so much easier knowing that we aren't the only ones out " here " on earth that are going thru such rollercoaster riding emotions/events ... Hugs from all the " elves " here in TN... Romona and crew http://members.aol.com/elf808
