Guest guest
Ang, Oh my goodness! That is terrible! I'm sorry you had such an awful experience. Mine was just the opposite. When I first went in I was 265. I had just gained back weight I had lost the previous year and was very upset with myself. The poor guy who was getting me all signed up and showing me around! I just started blubbering. It was so embarrassing! I was so upset with myself and it was a very emotional thing to work out infront of people. He was so sweet and told me if anybody had a right to be there it was somebody like me. like I said, if we had one closer, I would still be going. They had wonderful trainers and everybody was very supportive. This one trainer, he actually was independent. They would charge him to bring client there. I got talking with him when he was waiting for clients and stuff. He specifically worked with people in rehabilitation form injuries. Oh man he was good! Well I got talking with him quite a bit and learned alot from him. He said I had good form and picked things up easy and that I should think about being a trainer myself! I said who would listen to me? I was still 240-250 then! Anyway, kind of funny. I have been thinking alot about that lately. I really do enjoy helping people and it drives me nuts when I see people doing things wrong. Since the groc store closed and I haven't been working, when I run into people from there they are like where are you working now? They can't believe when I say I am able to stay home. Like I said, I've been thinking about it alot lately and if I were to go back to work I would like it to be something with helping people with exercise or weight loss. I just don't know where to start. I never graduated or got my GED. Was a bit busy, being mom and wife. Anyway, sorry to ramble off there. Again, sorry you had such a bad experience. They are not all like that, I can assure you. Hugs, Gena > I tried doing a gym once. Biggest mistake of my life! > It was LadyExpress. Guest guest
Gena Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I do have to let you know that when you start to improve your eating and exercise habits, what happens is that your body lets go of it's toxins and you get sick. It is normal. That is just in the beginning tho, it will get better. Arlene > Hey buds! > How is everyone today? I'm doing ok. We lost all the games at bowling > last night but oh we.. It's still fun. Guest guest
Hey there! So how is everybody? Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. It's already going on 1:00 here and I am just getting ready to workout. Got busy doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen. You know how it goes, start doing one thing and 20 things later...... Well that is life of ADD anyway, lol. I get distracted and keep finding other things to do. Bowling went ok last night. Well Mike was struggling so he was grouchy. I tell him he just needs to stop thinking about it so much, relax and have fun but he says he'll have fun when he figures out what he is doing wrong and bowling good. Usually he is more fun but it was making him mad. Some bowlers, mostly the guys are very technical, putting tape in the holes, finding their " line " and so on. I have no idea. I just throw the dang thing. If I throw it good I get alot of pins, if not oh well. It's just a game! I'm there to have fun. After bowling I met up with a girlfriend and we went to a club. Well she is actually my best friends daughter who I have known since she was 10. Pretty weird seeing her all grown up and partying! LOL It was fun! We stayed until the club closed 2:30 and then went for breakfast. I got home at 4:00 AM! Mike got up at 7:30 and I don't sleep much when he gets up so have been up since then. I should be a zombie but surprisingly feel pretty good! It will catch up to me later I'm sure. I was up 3 lbs this morning but I'm sure it was from eating at a weird hour like that. Well I hope you all have a good day. I better get going on my workout. Although I did have a good one at the club. Kept getting drug out on the dance floor! I feel like a idiot but oh well, it's fun. Have a good one. Catch ya'll later. Gena
Guest guest
Gena, All sounds good what you said. I think you should take a break every now and then for a day. I did hear it is not good to excersize strenuously every day. I still did not go to the gym today. I am working full time and it is just so nice to be home. Maybe I can go tomorrow. Guest guest
Dianne, No it's not good to strenuously exercise every day. I wasn't believe me. I was just trying to keep my streak of at least doing something every day. some days I only did 16-18 min. It is more to stay in the habit than actual cal burn and stuff. If I at least do something everyday I feel better. Gena > Gena, > > All sounds good what you said. I think you should take a break every > now and then for a day.
