Guest guest
Just remember Dave that the count-a-dos uses only BD brand 50 unit syringes. So, if you use another brand syringe, you will need to ask the doc for a new prescription. going to insulin When I lost vision my doctor put me on a pen (ot click also for each unit) instead of needles and syringes and i think it is the best thing I have ever seen and it doesn't cost me anything, my insurance pays for it all and lantus is going pen in Sept when i will switch. purchase a count a dose unit from www.maxiaids.com that clicks for each unit of insulin it pulls out of the vile. It costs around $50 and any people who use insulin shots use it. Another option is to use insulin pens that let you draw out insulin via a pen type gadget and those click for each unit as well. Most though use a count a dose unit which is specially created for blind diabetics.
Guest guest
yes, that is true. if anyone would ever need more than 50 units per shot, you just use the same shot and draw it twice. I.E if it was 70 units, you draw 50, dose it, then use the same shot and draw 20 more using the count a dose and take it etc. Some feel that since it is only 50 units it may not be good if you require more than 50 but that is a work around. Regards, going to insulin > > > When I lost vision my doctor put me on a pen (ot click also for each unit) > instead of needles and syringes and i think it is the best thing I have ever > seen and it doesn't cost me anything, my insurance pays for it all and > lantus is > going pen in Sept when i will switch. > > purchase a count a dose unit from www.maxiaids.com that clicks for each unit > of insulin it pulls out of the vile.
