Guest guest
Hi there: I have had very difficult times with my Dad too and found it extremely helpful to have a therapist/counselor to talk with. During these tough times, it's hard to see clearly and we need extra support. Another option is finding a support group. There are often inexpensive clinics that have sliding scales. In terms of being overwhelmed by all your feelings, journaling can be very helpful as can exercise. Talking online too. Know that the feelings, if you allow them, will wash through you and not overtake you if you don't resist them. But make sure you get lots of support during the tough time!! Since I had waited so late I was resistant to eating but I ate nonetheless. Instead of eating exactly what I wanted I ended up eating stuff way way worst and feeling mad guilty after. Is this all a part of the process? I hope it's the learning curve part. take care guys.
