Here is the address for Dr. Worthington-Kirsch who does uterine artery embolization: http://www.fibroidcorner.com This site has some information on Dr. Glassner and Dr. Toaff: http://www.mainlinehealth.org/women/show.asp?durki=5566 Here is Dr. Toaff's own website: http://www.netreach.net/~hysterectomyedu/myomecto.htm For myomectomies, look for a doctor who specializes in reproductive endocrinology. They are better at preserving the uterus.
Guest guest
Since you are interested in herbal medicine, you could also contact Dr Mehl-Madrona. I've seen two addresses for him on the net, one in Pittsburgh and the other in NY. I think the NY article is more recent. I only know of this doctor from one research report. I don't know if his quite successful results with one trial group of women with fibroids have ever been repeated. If anyone on this list has had any personal contact with Dr Mehl-Madrona, it would be interesting to hear their comments. Louis Mehl-Madrona MD, PhD at UPMC-Shadyside, Center for Complementary Medicine, 5200 Centre Ave., Suite 403, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Voice: ; fax: ; e-mail: coyotemd@... E.
