Guest guest
Hello Lupies! My name is Jeanie Hogan and I just joined your group. I've really enjoyed reading the "postings" the last couple of days and have already learned a lot from y'all. Yes, I said "Y'all." You guessed it, I'm from South Carolina! I am 42 years old. Been married for 8 and 1/2 years to a wonderful man, . We have 2 little blessings from the Lord; Sam (7) and Clare (almost 3). God has been so good to me. I was diagnosed in June with SLE. It was almost a relief to have a name to put on all these aches and pains. Felt better than I have in years over the summer while I was on Prednisone and Plaquenil. Recently went to 1/2 dose then completely off the Prednisone (doctor's orders) and have felt rotten ever since. Don't know if the Plaquenil alone isn't working for me or if I'm just adjusting to being off the Prednisone. The headaches with stiff, aching neck are the worst of it. I'm back to getting them every day again. So, for the past few weeks, I've been feeling quite sorry for myself. Depressed. Full of self-pity. Then, I joined Lupies and started reading some of your stories. Good grief! What a great big cry-baby I am! Most of you are in far worse shape physically yet remain upbeat and strong. Time for me to get an attitude adjustment. Thanks for letting me be a part of the group! Blessings, Jeanie
