Guest guest
Thanks for the info. However, I got my period less than 1 week after the blood was drawn. I'll look into the book. I know that fibroids can elevate it, but my gyn is not sure that would cause doubling in about 6 months. Re: CA=125 CA-125 (a female reproductive cancer marker for ovaries) can run high over 35 if you are on certain hormones or if you take the count during ovulation. I panicked when my endochronologist found it at 135 in 1995. (I was 31 years old) I suddenly thought Oh My God. My Dr. told me that women who have high CA-125 usually had a luteal phase defect (meaning ovualtion was not going on in a proper phase and the eggs were not viable) I ran out and got Gilda Radner's book It's Always Something. It talked alot about this CA-125 marker. Gene Wilder, her husband, did Public service anouncements for women to go get the test that year. It also gives a hotline number in the back if you want ask questions. In my case it was the infertility drugs and my fibroids. and they were drawing the bloods during my ovualtion phase. You may want to buy the book or get it from a library. My CA-125 always is over 100. I learned if you have ovarian cancer it runs over 1000. Get some more info and have it drawn after you ovulate on day 21 to 28.
