It took about two months each time for the fatigue to disappear. Now I don't notice that fatigue is a problem except under circumstances when I would normally feel tired even without Atenolol, such as this past week in which I have barely had time to breathe. However, the drug does have different effects on different individuals. My doctors have marveled at the amount of Atenolol I can handle, in spite of being a person prone to asthma. I don't have a problem with high blood pressure, taking all that medication, but when I did have high blood pressure years ago, I found that cutting all salt from my diet was more effective than taking diuretics. You get used to the salt-free taste after a while and wonder why you thought salty foods were so great. Now I continue to eat no salt, not because of high blood pressure but because of the water retention effects of Verapamil. in sinus in Seattle (15 minutes of afib in 213 days of straight sinus)

Guest guest
My Blood Pressure has been creeping up, and the doctor has raised my Antenolol from 25 mg to 50mg. It was suggested that I take it in the evening, because it can make you feel very tired. Any other High Blood Pressure med could interfere with Dofetilide big time - so please check with your EP before introducing anything else to your system. This would be a good suggestion with any drug you may be on. Guest guest
I have to take my toprol in the evenings because of fatigue and drowsiness resulting from it on some days. I could not take the atenolol, even though in same beta blocker family with toprol, because it made me short of breath 15 min after taking it and gave me some dizziness. > In a message dated 12/21/2002 8:50:53 AM Pacific Standard Time, > failteg@j... writes: > > << the doctor has raised my > Antenolol from 25 mg to 50mg. Guest guest
I take cozaar for high blood pressure and diuretic, lasix, as well. Have seen no problems of those drugs with tikosyn (dofetilide). BUT, for everyone on verapamil, you cannot take that drug with tikosyn. (I know most on tikosyn are aware, but thought I'd add that for those considering tikosyn). <snip> > Any other High Blood Pressure med could interfere with Dofetilide > big time - so please check with your EP before introducing anything > else to your system.
