Corn gluten is gluten-free as far as celiacs are concerned.

Kraft labels all their products, so reading the ingredients should resolve that question.

I don't know about barbecue sauce--we make our own because of my corn allergy.

corn gluten and bbq sauce and cheese sticks

Hi, My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed w/ CD a few months ago and I think I have been doing pretty well feeding her - she is pretty flexible. However, I have 3 questions I haven't been able to find answers to. What is corn gluten - Is it gluten - like she shouldn't have it gluten? Are there any bbq sauces one can purchase in regular grocery stores that are GF and finally are Kraft Mozerrella Cheese sticks GF? I would appreciate any help with these questions -I have doing searches on the archive and figured why not post my own message. Thanks,Kathy

Kathy,

Check the GF product list for BBQ sauce and cheese sticks. I know

that Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce is used by quite a few GF folks on

the forum and I have used Kraft of some type - check the labels. As

noted by someone else, Kraft will always clearly indicated in the

ingredients if there's anything wheat, barley, rye in it.

The Kraft string cheese is fine. I use Frigo Cheese Heads string

cheese, too. I confirmed with them myself. Most cheese is okay,

except bleu cheese and others like it with " veining. " Even most

shredded cheese is okay - the powdery stuff to keep it from clumping

is usually corn starch. Check labels to be sure, but I haven't found

one yet that uses wheat flour.
