Guest guest
Continuing with my report on my visit to Dr. Heffez, a note about the syrinx issue: I posted a few weeks back after my visit to a local neurosurgeon who told me that, although not reported on the radiology report, I had a syrinx, and he showed it to me. Well I could see something but not much, so I started reading up on syringiomyelia... Anyway I mentioned this to Heffez while we were looking at my films and he said, there's no syrinx there. He thought is was " signal changes " due to poor circulation in the cord. This is not hard for me to believe because along with the fact that Heffez has a lot more experience than the other nsg I saw, what the latter was calling syrinx was awfully vague-looking. One more thing to be relieved about. But also another example of how these things are read differently depending on who you show them to!! Carolyn A. cervical stenosis, dysautonomia.... scheduled for surgery w/Heffez ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
