Guest guest
Good morning all, Yesterday I underwent a RAI scan after 7 weeks hypo and it was clean! Great news until the nuclear doctor reminded me about the presence of antibodies and waiting to see what my Tg level is since it has been only one week since the blood was drawn. I have not taken any T4 yet (although I did take one 25 mg T3 last night) so should I request that another Tg and Tg antibody test be done since my TSH level was only 35 at the time of testing or does that make any difference? The tests requested pre-scan were for TSH, T4, Tg and calcium. I would greatly appreciate any information about the RAI stun effect, clean RAI scans with the presence of antibodies and also how to go about requesting that my scan info and blood tests be sent to one of the list doctors for a second opinion. I just want to be sure that I truly am " clean " while still hypo so that if anything needs to be tested it can be. I would like to add that I didn't cheat while on the LID diet the week before the test although I am no longer on it. Thanks for all of your help. Dawn TT 5/84, pap ca 11/84 scan 51.3 mCi I-131 10/85 small uptake in neck- no treatment given since it was exceptionally small and I had a daycare at the time. 8/01 clean scan - antibodies present
