Guest guest
Did anyone have reason to do a second surgery, a year after your first TT? 's TG level just came back at 9....a year after surgery, and 8 months after her RAI. In March (4 months post RAI) it was 7.5, so it's going up, not down. Her endo says it's time for an Ultra sound, and if it shows something, then they should do an ultrasound guided biopsy. And if they find a lymph node (which she suspects is the cause) of over 1 cm, then they should probably do another surgery. Does this sound right? Thanks so much for your input. Jill (mother, in Arizona, of 22yr old daughter, , in Colorado at CSU, pap thyca, TT 8/18/00...Cytomel only, for first three months; postponed RAI 3 months while waiting for iodine to leave her system after a CT scan; iodine test prior to RAI; 150mci 11/00, scan one week later...taken too soon (too bright), retaken on Nov. 27th...uptake only in thyroid bed. Waiting for first year scan.)
