Guest guest
Cy, Do you remember a product (I think it was a vitamin) called Seratan? That means Natures backwards. It was the dumbest ad!
Guest guest
Yes, Serutan was a concoction which was supposed to " keep you regular " . When I started to respond to this I also thought it was a vitamin but now I can sorta remember the smooth talking dude who did the commercials. " And remember, Serutan is natures spelled backwards. " As I recall, it was about the same time as Geritol and much later than Hadicol.. Absolute Snake Oil! Come on group, I know that there are several folks out there who can honestly remember shopping in a Dime Store when they were wee. I can still identify the smell of a dime store. The wood floors, the candy counter complete with chocolate covered peanuts, a variety of various hot nuts and the special perfumes they carried, like Blue Waltz and Evening In Paris. For the guys there was Rose Hair Tonic. Didn't need to get drunk, the fumes from those products would knock you over when the room got hot and the perspiration set in. Cy, the Ancient One... vitamins Cy, Do you remember a product (I think it was a vitamin) called Seratan? That means Natures backwards. It was the dumbest ad! Guest guest
Cy, yes I sure do recall all of those wonderful dime store experiences. Toyu section where you could actually try things out cause they weren't under glass, and the soda fountain, and I used to love to stand in front of those rolls and rolls of oil cloth with their beautiful designs and pick the one I'd buy if it were up to me. There were loads of red and white all over the store. There is a terrific book on cassette with Woolworth in the title. Guest guest
I rememnber that when you went back where the boys toys were, in paticular, the cars and trucks, they were made out of something like plastic. They were not called plastic though. Do you remember what that plastic stuff was called? That is the question for the day. Guest guest
No, but you are the only one that has guessed, so I am going to give you the answer. Itwas a type of plastic but it was known as celluloid. I think the formula has been changed to what we know as Plastic today. Have a good day, Jerry vitamins > > > > > > > > > > > > Cy, Do you remember a product (I think it was a vitamin) called > > > > Seratan? That means Natures backwards.
