make certain your strips are not bad. replace the accucheck strips, clean

the meter, and that should help.

The Acchuck Advantage meter is designed to never need to be cleaned. Unless you

make a greate effort you can not contaminate the sensor area where the blood

sample is examined. The area where the strip is inserted never has any physical

contact with blood with this meter. The blood is drawn along a thin line on the

strip that carries the sample past the laser or light beam or whatever that

examines the blood. Not like the One Touch meters I used to have where the

little glass window had to be cleaned regularly.

interesting. thanks for letting me know. the manual doesn't have any

cleaning instructions at all?

And was the Accucheck right with the high readings? I hope not.
