Guest guest
Well, after a week and a half of not being able to work, I'm finally back online. My ethernet card died in my work machine and it's integrated, so not upgradable. Since I have to send the machine back to Tennessee to be fixed and am not going to receive a machine to replace it unless I want to rent it or put a huge deposit on it, I decided to just use one of our old PCs and load everything and anything on it. Dummy me, got a little delete-happy and accidentally deleted a Windows 95 file off the old PC (that I was going to load onto) and ended up having to reformat the hard drive and install Windows 98. Then, since I'm not terribly familiar with all the work stuff that needs to be loaded in order for everything to work correctly and correspond with each other, that took forever and a day and about a gazillion phone calls to the company. I can now breathe a sigh of relief. It seems that I have everything loaded correctly and it all seems (SEEMS!!) to be in working order. However, I am not sending back the work machine until I'm 150% sure. :-) Anyway, after fiddling around with the internet settings and struggling to get those set right (hubby and I are networked with cable modem), I am finally back online. TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT, PEOPLE!! I'M FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!! hehehe Diane --so glad to be back, I was going a little (okay a LOT) stir crazy!!
