Guest guest
The pricking pains are most likely little nerve endings that are healing..they almost sting...are more skin and superficial rather than deep and internal. Be sure you mention the heartburn and indigestion to your doctor. Not to scare you,but only to inform. My aunt's oncology GYN told her anytime a woman has persistant heartburn, they should inquire on the presence of ovarian cancer. Dr's have NO idea why that can be a symptom. Please...do not be alarmed by this..but be sure to ask. There are hundreds of thousands of women who have heartburn and certainly do not have O Ca. I am an active supporter of education when i comes to the Ovarian Cancer...so that is my " soapbox " so to speak. Again..this is to inform...only..I certainly am not a doctor. Again...the stinging pains I also experienced after my hysterectomy..were incisional and will go away. Betsy TAH/BSO 4-20-99 Lupron injections 4 months prior to suregery to reduce fibroids...one soccer ball size, others grapefruit and orange...almost 6 lbs of fibroids. Guest guest
Dear Donna, I had my myo on sept 19, 2000 and between Christmas and New Years I drove to Toronto from DC, drove back amidst a horrific snow storm (continual use of my right foot and groin muscles) and then drove again to NYC and back. After that I also experienced these little pin pricks near my bikini incision, more on the right side. They were pretty sharp and would bring me up short at whatever I was doing. I stopped driving for a while and they went away. But it was a reminder of what that area had gone through only four months ago. I am still numb and slightly puffy near my groin area. Don't be scared but do mention it to your doc. Most probably it's just your nerves and tissues in the process of healing. Also, a myo can really mess up your entire stomach area and digestion. I'm still experiencing wierd " going " habits. It's been four months. Ask anyone who's had a c-section in your acquaintance and maybe they can help you through it. But it's true that you should mention it to your doctor during your February appointment. rani. > I've been reading this newsgroup since I was diagnosed with one > grapefruit sized fibroid on the outside of my uterus in July 2000.
