Guest guest
Do you have a blender? That should work. Just do a few at a time. Do the on and off thing until it turns to butter. > > Hi - I just joined yesterday so I missed your post. Guest guest
It is so much better for you than the commercial stuff we buy. You will have to adjust to the taste and texture. It isnt as sweet and the texture not as creamy. I have not made my own at home but have made it at the health food store with their organic peanuts. I want to try almond and cashew butter too. Guest guest
I know this is an old strand, but I just got my email because I live overseas and our connection isn't very good. About the peanut butter two questions: 1. Do you have to take the skins off the peanuts, and 2. Do they need to be roasted peanuts. Thanks
Guest guest
I use raw peanuts.....no skins. You could lightly toast them if you want. It's been so long since I've made this, I can't remember if I toasted them or not. I think someone on this list made almond butter and toasted the almonds first. In any event, do not add any oil. Put in food processor (or a few at a time in a blender) and use the on and off switch until it becomes real grainy. Then blend until smooth and creamy. It will be warm! Yummy! in California > 1.
