Guest guest
, Welcome to the group, hopefully you'll find some help here. I surely have. Sounds like you have been through alot like many of us have. I have vulvodynia-burning all of the time, rather than VVS. I have not had my hormones tested and wanted to know if your VVS has gotten better by taking the hormone supplements. What hormones are you taking? What kind of dr tested you. My burning always is better for a few days following my period and sometimes better during my period, so I feel like there is a hormonal component. What were your symptoms in comparison to your peroid. I think some of the gals on the list have stated that the VVS likes estrogen whereas with vulvodynia it doesn't--I dunno, its all so confusing. I do wear contacts and have very dry eyes as well as vaginal dryness. Hope we can both help each other with questions etc. thanks, Melinda > >Subject: New Member > >Hi, I am a new member, and just wanted to give you a little of my >background. I was diagnosed with vulvar vestibulitis in August of 1999. I found a doctor who had a different idea of what was causing my problems. He believed it was hormonal and gave me a saliva test. He said I was extremely low in progesterone and estrogen, and I have been taking them for almost a year now. He decided to test me because I also had various other symptoms besides the vulvar pain. I had extremely dry eyes when my contacts were in, and had to put drops in them 25+ times a day. That was my first symptom of all this, which started in the fall of 1997. . I'm just curious if anyone else has similar symptoms and if you have had any luck with hormonal supplementation. Thanks for listening. > _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
