We provide technical assistance, training, and information, with a focus on practical solutions that improve services where resources are scarce. We work in partnership with governments, institutions, and health care professionals to expand and improve STD/HIV/AIDS services. EngenderHealth in India is engaged in DFID supported HIV/AIDS programmes in five states namely Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The Programmes are as follows: Right to Care Project: Piloting human rights based approach to reproductive health for women living with HIV/AIDS in India – Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Reducing HIV/AIDS stigma and discrimination in Health Care settings in Kerala: A rights based approach. Working with Men living with HIV/AIDS, NGOs working on HIV prevention activities in two states of India namely Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat to demonstrate an approach for engaging HIV positive men in positive prevention with emphasis on gender equity. Vacancy: One full time Programme Manager: Responsible for the complete program delivery, travel to the states from the EngenderHealth Society India country office to support state teams/programmes,to directly handle the MIS and Reporting function for the programme, follow-up support to partners, Support strengthening of monitoring and evaluation systems and correct use of data for effective programme delivery, Ensure optimal programming linkages at the state and national levels, Provide technical assistance to state programmes through regular field visits, guidance notes and feedback on performance based on analysis of programme coverage data. Competency required: Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation systems At least 5-8 years of extensive experience in working on issues of HIV preferably with good knowledge of rights based interventions and training management. Direct experience of implementing HIV/AIDS in the states would be preferred. Relevant experience of working in areas of Public health/Community health and well conversant with the issues. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills. Preferably in English/regional languages. Conversant with national HIV/AIDS priorities, response and best practices in the public and private sector. Outstanding analytical and project management skills including HR skills. Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and analysis, program evaluation and management. Ability to handle sensitive issues diplomatically. Experience of managing HIV/AIDS programmes supported by DFID/USAID/any other bilateral or multilateral. PG degree in management, public health, social sciences or related field.
