Guest guest
Dear friends, It doesn't give me any surprise now the way NACO is working through when there is no mention in the web page of NACO about its Ditrector (Dr. Sujata Rao) even several months after her posting. Likewise the name of the RSAC has not yet been changed. Also you can see at NACO web page many columns are lying blank and the figures filled in some of the columns are more than 6 months old, never updated, inspite of reminding them, never ask the related SACs why don't they send their details regularly? I just can't understand who should we asked for such kind of irregularities when NACO doesn't respond ? There are certain questions i.e. what they want to achieve from this kind of announcement ? who have been invited ? who will be participating? What will they get out of it ? will any one be going to evaluate the outcomes of the conference ? I extremely surprise on the silence of NACO on some of the other questions of importance e.g. (i) announcement of the Health Minister for making HIV testing mandatory in Goa, (ii) PEP services limited to health care workers only and not for the rape victims etc. (III) closing down offices of SACs in M.P., Chhatisgarh, Andman & Nicobar etc. I wish to get some clarification before, I include the issues in my report to be submitted to UNAIDS PCB, but I didn't get any response from the Director, NACO till the deadline, may be she didn't take it as serious or important? The sharing and debate must go on and wait for the right time, because I believe that still there is a ray of hope. regards, Bhawani Bhawani Shanker Kusum NGO Delegate for Asia Pacific, UNAIDS PCB Secretary & Executive Director Gram Bharati Samiti (GBS) Amber Bhawan, Amber 302028 Jaipur, India Tel./Fax : 91-141-2530719 E-mail: gbsbsk@...
