Guest guest
, I found a crockpot lasagna recipe in my archives that might be helpful to you. Check the website archived recipes for ideas too. Cheryl in Colorado Crockpot Lasagna with uncooked noodles Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef (can use two, but add an extra 8-15 ounces of tomato sauce) 1 onion, chopped 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 2 – 15 oz. cans tomato sauce 1 - 6 oz can tomato paste 1 ½ tsp. salt 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 – 12-16 oz. carton of cottage cheese ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese 12 oz. or less Tinkyada rice lasagna noodles UNCOOKED 12-16 oz or more shredded mozzarella cheese Brown ground beef and onion in skillet. Add garlic powder, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano. Cook long enough to get it warm. Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the crockpot. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with cheeses. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up. The top layer should have the noodles covered with sauce then cheeses to keep the noodles from getting too dry. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. This freezes and reheats well. -------------------------------------- Marvin and Bjorge wrote: When you made your own Chicken and Dumplings that were GF did you make it in a crock pot and would you mind sharing your recipe? I am looking for easy meals since I work and have to take my family’s dinner in a crock pot to have with us. Also as we hit sports seasons for schools I am sure I am not the only one scrambling to feed a hungry family at a decent hour with out a lot of fuss. J Also how do other families deal with meal time when hitting the local pizza place/just any restaurant will work? I would rather feed them something from home that is healthier and much easier to fix than to do the whole eat out thing.
Guest guest
Cheryl, I will have to try this recipe sometime since my husband’s favorite meal is lasagna! However I was using my crock pot last night and it stopped working on me so now I will have to replace it before I can try any new crock pot recipes.
