REGISTERED DIETITIAN

Mount Sinai Medical Center at Miami Beach, Fl. is currently seeking a motivated

and experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team of progressive

nutrition professionals. The successful candidate will be part of an

organization that is committed to excellence.

Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the provision of

high quality, effective medical nutrition therapy to assigned patients, of a

variety of disease states including but not limited to diabetes, cardiac, and

critical patients; and support to nutrition education programs and dietetic

interns.

o Screens and assesses inpatients as appropriate for nutritional needs.

o Communicates findings and recommendations with physician and other members

of health care team.

o Assess patient's consumption patterns, monitors nutritional care, manages

physician ordered therapeutic diets and provides nutritional education to

patients.

o Identifies and designs interventions considering patient needs related to

age, cultural background, religious affiliation, medical status, and lifestyle.

o Works as a team with food service staff to ensure that patients receive

appropriate therapeutic diets as ordered.

Qualifications: B.S. degree from an accredited college or university with a

major in food, nutrition, and any additional education as required by the

American Dietetic Association.

Experience: Clinical Dietitian: Two years preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic

Registration (CDR); Licensed Dietitian in the State of Florida. Must maintain

registration with the CDR and licensure in the State of Florida.

Shift: Full time days 8 hours
