Guest guest
The other day while out, I ordered a grilled chicken/taco salad type of dish sans the fried shell. Anyway, since this was a Mexican restaurant, they naturally served it with sourcream and salsa. I had thought about asking for dressing, but decided not to once I tasted the salad this way. It was delicious. When I got home, I looked at the calorie and fat content of regular ranch and regular sourcream. Wow! Sourcream has about 5 grams of fat per 2 tbsp and about 60 calories, Ranch has about 11 grams fat and 110 calories per 2 tbsp. The salsa has almost no calories and no fat. I am wondering if it would be a good idea to dress salads with sourcream and salsa combo, of course, not going overboard on the sourcream. Thanks, Stacie
Guest guest
Since I'm allergig to milk (and therefore, sour cream) I always put salsa or salsa & guacamole on my salads in mexican restaurants.
