Guest guest
Dear Friends, The reports coming out now a days from various states like Chhtaisgarh and now Andman & Nicobar about closing down offices of SACSs and arbitrarily retrenching the staff etc. are matter of concern and must be taken care of by the Health Ministry of Goverment of India and NACO seriously. It might be useful if some kind of memorandum is jointly prepared and sent to them describing all the situation. Ultimately they are answerable to the people of the country. Do they feel that the situation has been controlled in these states and now there is no risk of infection with HIV/AIDS and PLWHA here don't need any kind of support i.e. ARV drugs , care and support etc.? Can someone enlighten on the situation of these 2 states e.g. about the toll and situation with regard to their access to these services and facilities? Looking forward to get more insights and inputs from the NGOs/CBOs, AIDS activists of the area, Bhawani Bhawani Shanker Kusum Secretary & Executive Director Gram Bharati Samiti (GBS) NGO Delegate for Asia Pacific, UNAIDS PCB Amber Bhawan, Amber 302028 Jaipur India Tel./Fax : 91-141-2530719 E-mail: gbsbsk@... www.gbsjp.org
