Dear Friends

Has any study been carried out among Narmada oustees, both those have been

rehabilitated and those not?

It would be useful to find out how many of the oustees were forced to migrate to

other places, particularly urban areas, what occupations they are now involved

in and to what extent, if any, their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS has increased.

Such a dataset should inform the advocacy policies of HIV/AIDS service

providers, including NACO. That is, advocacy with other arms of the government

on their development policies!

Regards

Pawan
