Guest guest
Can't you continue on phase 1 for a 3rd week? I know two people who have and have lost 25lbs and 30lbs. (over about 5-6 weeks). Also- out of curiousity....do many of you eat other recipes outside of what the book has? Maybe that is the cause for yo-yoing? I don't know, I'm just trying to think of a reason. Guest guest
I rarely (if ever) use recipes from the book. I have found most of my south beach recipes from online sources. Or, I adapt my own recipes. I find most of the recipes in the book to be more complicated, or involve ingredients that I don't usually have. Some people do continue on phase 1 for a 3rd week... but, it is not recommended to stay on Phase 1 for too long. It is meant to be an intro phase, to lead into Phase 2. I don't know whether to do that or just move on and come back to a week on phase 1 here and there sort of as a 'jump start'. > Also- out of curiousity....do many of you eat other recipes outside of what > the book has? So far we are following the book pretty carefully. I switch things around so that we may not eat exactly what is laid out on a given day (ie have day 6's lunch on day 7). Guest guest
Ditto the recipe thing. I'm surprised at how easy it can be to adapt a recipe. Someone asked me yesterday about my home made chili (I often make it just for office lunches). She wondered if it were " legal " because she hadn't seen the recipe in the book! BTW - I know this sounds weird but every once in a while I put a dollop of hummus in my chili. > I rarely (if ever) use recipes from the book.
