Terry, congratulations on your transplant. I will be

praying for you and your donor. Can you tell us a

little bit more about yourself. I am assuming you are

male from the way you spelled your name, (but, if you

have been lurking, you know I have been wrong before).

offered to donate in a LDLT. To cut a long story short, he was assessed, found to be compatible and our surgery is scheduled for this April 9th. We go for our pre-op next week and are going for autologous blood donations as well.

Great news Terry, I hope to be able to get an LDLT from my sister sometime soon, though I am not listed yet.

Terry that is wonderful. The success rate of LDLT

seems to be so much more positive - what a friend!!!!!

We'll be keeping you and your friend in our prayers as

April 9th approaches. Isn't it wonderful to have

people that think so highly of you. Phil has a friend

that has offered, course we don't even know if he is

the same blood type and Phil isn't near bad enough to

need one right now but just knowing that someone cares

that much for you sure is a special feeling.

Terry,

I am glad you participated, rather than lurked. I am getting close to being

listed and am curious what all takes place right before, during and after.

My brother has volunteered to be my live donor, but we have not begun the

process just yet. I think it is wonderful that you have a friend ready,

willing and able to provide you with a healthy liver! Friends like that are

few, and far between - if you ever find one.

Good luck to both of you. We will be saying prayers that all goes well for

all, before, during and after!

Sincerely,
