Hi :

The Wishbook folks at The Miami Herald do turn over all the money to the family. They often add more than what is donated directly to support the family as many funds are collected for general disbursement. I know some of the people that work on this and feel comfortable saying that we can be assured the donations do go to those for whom they are intended.

If you want to collect some items and then deliver them en masse, you can call The Miami Herald, , dial "0" for the operator, and ask them to connect you to the people working on the Wishbook.

I don't understand how we do the donations. It looks like the Miami Herald has you make a donation to their Wish Foundation and they disperse the funds to all the families that are in need. I would like to support this family directly. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, we can collect the items and do a drop off. It seems they need food, clothes, and gift cards.
