I don't understand how we do the donations. It looks like the Miami Herald has you make a donation to their Wish Foundation and they disperse the funds to all the families that are in need. I would like to support this family directly. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, we can collect the items and do a drop off. It seems they need food, clothes, and gift cards.

Oh my goodness -- I personally KNOW the reporter who wrote that story! I used to babysit him 15 years ago. I will check with him because I have been in touch with him since then. What a sad sad story.

Actually, I was just about to send him an email... and I see people have posted in the comments section the following -- which I'm sure is true since they mention Flanagan High School (which would be right around the corner):

The park is CB Park Campground, 901 Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026Park Phone: I beleive the site number is 13. You can call the park and ask for the site number or drive in and look for the RV and blue tent shown on the newspaper picture. Is not hard to spot them...

SITE CORRECTION, THEY ARE ON SITE 7 (RIGHT BY THE BATHROOMS).

I will still check with the reporter and see if I can find out more.
