Guest guest
This is really low tech, but the thing that works best for my patients is a small spiral notebook with 1/3 of the page cut and the " pattern " or " plan " on the bottom page (so when they flip the page to record their new intake they can still see their pattern. Then I flip through the record and make changes to the " pattern " if necessary (I usually don't cut all the way down to the very last page) I hope this makes sense. Guest guest
Hi Deidre, While we all appreciate the value of a food diary, getting people to stick with it can be a problem. Therefore, I created Drawing the Line on Calories, Carbs, and Fat as a more entertaining way of keeping track of one's intake. It's literally a " connect-the-dots " approach where the user draws a line between dots to show the food they've eaten. I have found much better adherence with this system than the usual write down what you ate, count the calories, subtract the amount to find out your balance, etc. Visit my website at www.advantagediets.com <http://www.advantagediets.com/> and click on the left-hand side " how to draw the line " .
