Guest guest
Niacin can be purchased over the counter or in a health food store or on-line. Ask your doctor to give you a 30 day supply of Lipitor samples in 10 mg. The drug pushers, oops!, drug representatives, who visit doctors furnish them with plenty of free samples of this drug Lipitor. Then you can take one tablet once or twice per week to see what it will do. 30 tablets should last you for 15 weeks taking them twice per week. As far as I know there is no problem with taking both niacin and Lipitor, but I would stick to taking either one or the other and then gather test results to keep from having confounded mixed variables in my test trial of the medications or the niacin alone. Doctors frown upon taking vitamins for treating any illness, since this is not a drug. When it comes to tolerating the niacin flush, this is an individual matter. When I experience the flush it does not cause any serious problems and it lets me know the niacin is working. The flush is no problem to me. niacin > > > > Do you still get the ldl/hdl benefits at 500 mg down from 3000 mg?
