Guest guest
In your search for a myomectomy expert you may want to check out the Society of Reproductive Surgeons at: www.reprodsurgery.org/ When you get to that site you can select the (Find a Reproductive Surgeon in your Area) This should give you a start it took me awhile to locate this site and I go to see one of the doctors who is a member next week! Hope this helps! Patty
Guest guest
I went to Amazon to look for the book and I read the customer's reviews and one of them went to one of the doctors in the book and she wasnt happy with her. Here is the link so you guys can read it yourselves. There must be other way to find all about a doctor and about how pleased are his/her patients. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1883769256/qid=984336894/sr=1- 1/ref=sc_b_1/103-5816567-7913468 > >Reply-To: uterinefibroids >To: uterinefibroids >Subject: Re: Myomectomy Experts-try looking here.... >Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2001 16:59:42 -0000 > >infinityandon wrote: > > In your search for a myomectomy expert you may want to check > > out the Society of Reproductive Surgeons at: > > www.reprodsurgery.org/ > >This is a good place to start, but not every good doctor is listed >there and not every doctor listed there is good. Guest guest
I saw the title at Amazon. That's why I mentioned it. When I was researching doctors last year, I saw Dr. West's name in last year's New York Metro edition. But when I looked in this year's edition, I did not see his name in it. When I consulted with Dr. West, he said he can give me names of thousands of women for references. I guess we can ask for references when we consult with a new doctor. Guest guest
Hi Donna, Thank God it is a small world--thanks to the internet! That way references and word of mouth (good or bad) travels very fast. Sorry to hear about your experience with Dr. Seigal (I believe that's Selick's sister). Sounds like the sisters have something in common...I wouldn't say Dr. Selick is insensity, I just think she's the direct no nonsense type. I usually feel more comfortable with that types. Donna, did you have surgery with Dr. Seigel? How was that experience? Anyone else have any experience with Dr. Caryn Selick? Thanks, Winnie. Guest guest
I would recommend Dolores Kent at Cedars. She is patient and responsive and has sound judgment.

Guest guest
Hi Winnie, Dr. Amy Siegel is definitely not my type. I saw her maybe three or four times. The last time I saw her, she made me wait in the waiting room for thirty minutes while she talked with a staff member. Then, she didn't know why I was there when it was her who told me to come in. I have since changed doctors. I investigated UAE, but I finally had a myomectomy on 01/18/01 with Dr. Stanley West ( http://www.repmed.com ), the author of " The Hysterectomy Hoax " , at St. 's Hospital. He was recommended by , a member here. How many fibroids do you have, and where are they located? I was probably at 22 weeks size. The MRI showed several fibroids, but Dr. West removed about thirty of them. Good luck, Donna
