myoectomy

I've recently been told by my GYN that I have two large fibroids, one the size

of a grapefruit on the front of my uterus and another the size of a golf ball on

the back of my uterus. She suggests a myoectomy. She tells me I'd be off work

for several weeks. I have a few questions and would appreciate hearing from

women who have had large fibroids: First, do large fibroids cause cramping when

outside the uterus? I had a cramping episode last night that was almost

unbearable. Second, does it really take weeks to recover from a myoectomy? I

love my job and don't want to be gone for weeks and weeks.
