Good question. A pounding heart is related to your adrenals and the

fight or flight reaction, especially if your adrenals are feeling

the need to overproduce adrenaline in response to something else not

optimal in your body....

Well, I've been on 2 - 3 pellets of Isocort now for several days. I'm

starting to feel like I did when I took the big dose of Prednisone back in

April. A bit of heart pounding, nervousness. I'm feeling the kinda' panic

feeling.

I'm going to drop back to 1 pellet and start Nature-Throid at 1/2 grain as

soon as I get the prescription filled. I've been on Atkins for 14 days and

have lost a whole ZERO pounds.

I'm sick of this.

Val, I don't blame you a bit. I bet you are ROYALLY sick of what

these meds do to you. Keep us informed.

Now we all know I have some adrenal issues, but my pounding heart went away with

iron. Strange but true!

Actually, it's not strange, and I'm so glad you brought this up,

Jamy! If you are low in iron, your body is unable to transport

oxygen to all cells adequately. Thus, the heartrate has to increase

to help push oxygen through!!
