I hear your confusion and can't say I blame you. I myself don't think the E patch (Climara) would give you a yeast infection, maybe with the E cream... and even that's not too common but more so than the patch would be I'd think. I forget, are you using the E cream?

Just my thoughts on that, but that doesn't mean you don't have a yeast infection either, they can come out of the blue. *sigh* but here's another thought, as the tissue is healing, it can itch, especially as Dr. Willems says in his article when using the E. cream topically..... so maybe?? maybe you're healing?? but I'm sure you know the feeling if you've had yeast infections before. YOY..... confusion is right.

Do you have any discharge or those white pieces or bits that sort of look like cottage cheese? I myself never ever had itch with a yeast infection just severe inflammation and the white bits or pieces that burned like he$$..... *OUCH* but I do hear of others that itch.

You might try an antihistamine..... something like the Nasalcrom or Benedryl lotion topically or an oral one too like Clariten or an Atarax. And as nutty as this might sound but when I had one recently (a bad one) Whooeee. I poured some vinegar on a wet cloth and dabbed myself and it didn't sting at all. I remember back when we were kids we always used that on a bad sunburn to take away that pain & inflammation as it restores our natural acid state.

I also took an Atarax (prescription) , and I was almost totally relieved in 24 hrs. but I did use a ONE day vag. treatment just for the yeast itself, the Vagistat brand, so I knew absolutely the yeast was gone but sure left me inflammed. For what it's worth. *sigh*

Thanks for the replies! I will try some of the natural anifungals

until I see the doc. currently, i am only on the patch, no creme, so

maybe its not yeast. i guess the best solution for the long term of

figuring out what is going on is probably to wait to get a culture

first! how annoying....
