Sounds like we're in the same boat. My doctor prescribed Flagyl and

diflucan at the same time for me 2 or 3 times...didn't work for me,

and I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong. The natural

remedies, unfortunately, aren't working for me either.

Flagyl leaves the worst bitter taste in your mouth...another pleasant

thing to deal with.

I'd try it. It's really about the only thing that

will help. I've had consistent bacterial vaginosis

that goes away for a bit then returns. I first tried

the pills and when it came back my gyn had me to the

metrogel inserts. That was awful, but it's been

better...not as bad on a recurrence.

Yeah, it will make you crazy. Our usual aids won't

help with it...at least they didn't for me.

I had a bacterial infection for 9 months. I tried every antibotic in the

book. The last one I took was Z pack. It finally cleared it up..but I also

got rid of them by changing my diet. I had a food allergy test and I avoided

all sugars(the candida free diet is the diet I went on)..I mean even fruit

for 3 months. I am pretty sure that after all of those antibotics, I had a

yeast problem. I started taking natural herbs and vitimins. I do not have

anymore bacterial infections. I do still have VV, but I find that I can

control it with diet. I avoid sugar and the foods that I tested allergic

to..(corn, dairy, citris, msg.) I try to eat only things that are real and

not processed. If you are having repeated bacterial infections, your body is

out of balance. I think we can stay healthier by treating the whole body and

not just the vaginal area.

I had problems with this and took flagyl many times. Eventually I was

given sultrin cream and if I remember correctly, it seemed to help.

Triple sulfa cream may be the same or similar. HTH
