Guest guest
Hi , Welcome! My son Blair is 4 1/2 and has also been on 7 meds with no effect. He is not sz free even now after 2 1/2 years on the diet but the diet has been a blessing for Blair. He has been able to get off 2 meds and we are weaning the third (and last). He is more alert, and able to learn! Amazing progress in his development. He was taken off pheno at the start of the diet, one reason we chose to do the hospital thing (Stanford). I was too frightened of withdrawl seizures to go it alone. Our hospital experience was not too bad, the worst thing was the nurses keeping us awake at night. Blair went into ketosis quickly and we went home on the 3rd day. I have no experience with the other two drugs, sorry cant help there. He goes to pre-school and we have a good relationship with the teaching staff. Sure it's not easy, and letting go of control is VERY hard but what he gets from the experience is worth it. Best of luck, any questions, you are in the right place. Jill, Blairs mom, keto kid since 8/99 > > > Hello, > > > > My name is .
