Guest guest
Hi : Thanks for explaining the maneuvers about re-establishing nsr....since I am new to afib and the board I had to ask you what you meant, I did not want to presume that I knew something. I was not informed by my doctors as to what to do to re-establish nsr....except in passing and by the way from an er doc,a pastor and a book that one of my friend's loaned me. I had never heard of afib much less know how to get out of it. I still have atrial tachycardia since last Thursday and continue to lose weight. An expert in iron overload disorders advises me to be bled and says I will not heal my heart unless I am bled. Very small donations of l50ml once a week until my ferritin is down to 10-20 and my transferrin sat%is below 25%. Very complicated this stuff since I am on Coumadin and Aspirin but I trust him...although he is not a physician, he has lived with HH for 26 years and since very few physicians know how to treat iod, I am relying on his knowledge. I have also researched the subject....unfortunately I am really treating myself...since the local hematologist did not want to take the responsability for the phlebotomies(bleedings)and tried to tell me that I might have some other disease and was going to subject me to the Ulysses Syndrome(A phys. ordering too many unecessary and expensive tests.) With all the research I had done I told him that many of the Blood Centers have not ordered the blood assay test in 20 years that he wanted me to take. (I ordered phys. convention tapes on the disease he thought I had and learned about it that way.) in addition to reading the literature in PubMed. , You are very special and thank you for being such a big help. Regards, Isabelle
