Dear Keto Families, My son , who has been on the diet for

5 years, was put into the hospital for having status absence siezure

last week, We changed his ratio from 4-1 to 3-1 and he began taking

Depakote and Lamtical. His siezures began under control after the 5

day in the hospital and we were released on the seventh day. Every

day I saw him getting more alert and remian siezure free, Sunday

night we noticed small spots on his back and chest, We call the

nuero and saw to stop Lactimal and give him Bendraly, By the next

morning, he was completely covered in spots, Pacthes of red every

where, we rush him to the doctor and he sent us to the hospital,

was given Steriods every six hours via IV, The rash

began clearing up after the second treament, Needless to say my son

is allergic to Lamitcal but he recovered quickly and was released

after 24 hours, He remains siezure free and was quite active and

alert, We are still on the Depokote but we are completely off the

Lamtical. We are relived that the Lamticol was not the factor in

which gave us siezure control. I guess sometimes the road to

recovery can have some bumps but glad we have the diet as it still

remains to be the only thing that controls my son siezures,

Hopefully we can stay out of the hospital and my son can completely

recover from his relapse, Thank you for this list as I wonderful to

have families who understand the trama and heartbreak that go along

with epiliespy,,,,,,,,Debbie,,,Momma to Keto dud Chris
