Anne, I didn't know exactly what to do so I just sent my insurance a copy of

the whole USC mito booklet they sent me so I'm hoping they will come to an

understanding of what a mito disorder is and why we need the nutritional

supplements.

I could call in a few wks and ask how much that helped and what sorts of

things would help insurances cover. I'll share that on here. S.

I think this whole idea here is good as most insurance people don't have the

time nor inclination to study too much infor coming to them and a letter

that is concise yet comprehensive to explain mito and the role of

nutritional supplements would be the best approach. Having a group of

letters like this listed on the IMDN website would be super for people to

choose from depending on the need.

Terri, currently are sample letters posted to insurance companies for CoQ

- letters that have worked. Should we start there? I know that our doctors

office is taking care of this for us but for those who don't have a doc to

do it it would be a good starting place I think. Anne

No Anne, not yet. It's one of those things that I keep meaning to do and

haven't gotten around to yet. Since Carl's out of town for the next couple

of weeks I think I'll be able to spend a little bit of time on the site. I

have saved copies of a bunch of the letters that people have used to get

Coenzyme Q10 covered and figured I would make it generic and post it on the

web site, it would definitely be a good place to start.

I have a revolving list like that. Thanks Terri - did not mean to rush you

but just was not sure if it was up there. (of course I could have looked

myself, hey?)
