Why is gin on Bette Hagman's " NO " list? Isn't it a distilled liquor?

I'm pregnant and breastfeeding anyhow so I won't be drinking any time

soon, but this really confused me!

thanks for any info!

The distillation process supposedly makes distilled alcohol safe since

the alcohol evaporates up into the distiller and none of the actual

fermented contents are in the booze and many distilled alcohols are not

made from glutenous grains anyhow... malt beverages like beer are

brewed and contain everything that was put into them in the first place

so they are obviously unsafe. Every time I read about alcohol I get

different info though so that's why I asked. Gin is made from juniper

berries though I guess it can contain wheat according to some

manufacturers... and some use molasses and no wheat... it's so

confusing!
