Just got a report from my MRI that was done a few days ago.

RE-growths I knew about. Been watching them for several years.

I now have a neurofibroma on the Jugular Bulb. Have been in the Crew since

the beginning but can't remember if anyone else has or had this problem.

Would really love to hear from you.

HI Ruth!! How's ?

So sorry to hear about the jugular bulb tumor. I'm curious though, do you

mean jugular foramen? If so, I have those, and right now I'm planning to

go to SF in early Oct. to talk with Drs. Jackler and Chang, to see if

surgery or radiation is best way to proceed. I'll be sure and let you know

what I find out, but you have wonderful access there in Texas.:) As far as

I know, no one has ever tackled these things yet, have they? At first I

was told regrowth AN's... I kind of wish they were now.:)

I am here Marcus. I agree. MRI's are a breeze to the air in the brain

tests!

Maybe that is why we are so spaced out. The medical name for the air in the

brain test is - neumocephlagram. The x-ray of the dark ages!

Holly, How about left putamen and the right thalamus. Just a thought, Margaret

The latest MRI showed some few lacunar infarcts upon determinating the basal

ganglia in the left s/l *cutainment* on the right thalamus.

I hope someone is still up that can help me w/ this.

The MRI did not show significant pressure in the s/l *quality crina*.

sounds like quality (CRY-NA)

I am clueless as to what he is saying and radiology is definitely a weak

point for me.

TIA,

Holly

Could it be " cauda equina " ?

This I hear often.

It is a tail-like collection of spinal roots that descend from the lower

part of the spinal cord and coccupy the vertebral canal below the cord.

It all depends on your insurance. I needed a referral for mine. Even though

your OB/GYN does not think it is necessary, ask her if she would refer you

any way (it does not hurt to try). The reason I suggest this is that I asked

my OB/GYN if I could have an MRI and she stated that she didn't normally use

MRI for evaluating GYN problems and didn't think it was necessary. She then

told me that she had no problem with me having one done. If you've already

tried this route, try another doc.

I have Blue Choice (Michigan) and it was actually my Primary care doc that

had to write the referral for the MRI. I've e-mailed a few IR's in my quest

for an information regarding my decision and asked what tests would need to

be done prior to UAE. All of them indicated that an MRI was something they

require. One actually indicated that the MRI would have to be done at their

facility since they had control over the quality of the test/images. Another

also stated a MRI was recommended because it would allow them to rule out

other pelvic/gyn problems.

I've actually seen the images produced by an MRI and US and I can tell you

hands down that the MRI produces a much clearer picture.

Good Luck,

Ann
