MM. What exactly is technical report writing? and how does one get into doing this or finding out about it?

See! I am not THAT smart, or I would not be having to ask you this... :-)

But, the cookie part is familiar to me.

Love ya, Normi

Normi, I just advertised in the university newsletter, and on the bulletin

boards when I was doing thesis and term paper typing and publishing.

However, if you pick

a subject that is prevalent in your area, for instance: medical

transcription, or

computer research papers, etc. You advertise to that need. I have a friend

who put

herself through secretarial college and then got a masters in business by

doing this.

She made more money producing technical reports than she did working full

time and

going to school nights. This way, working from home, she was able to go to

day school and get her degree that much faster.

Hope you are feeling better today. I am running fevers again. Nothing over

99.5, but

having light chills, and extremely tired. I go to the lab this week, so I

think I'll just

add an " X " in the urine culture box and have them do that test, too. I'm

suspecting

a UTI, again. Will let you know what's what when I know. Take care, honey.

Love, MM

Hi MM.. Thanks for that info. Sounds interesting. How did you get into doing that? You put an ad? Love, Normi Re: hoping for some feedback.>Normi, Technical report writing is a service you advertise in the business >journals>or newspapers in which you offer to edit and publish via computer or word >processor>technical reports written by people who need the service. For instance, >researchers>often need such a service, and don't like to depend on in-house clerical >staff because>of the confidential nature of their work. Likewise, business executives who >are>writing big mergers, prospectuses on their stock offerings, and etc. You >don't need>to know the technical language, just how to spell it, and for that there are >dictionaries available specific to the technology being addressed in the >various papers. Sounds more complicated than it is. Essentially, it is an >editing/desk top>publishing service you run from home on your home computer. You would >probably>have to save to floppy, and that would belong to the client, and they would >most likely require that you clear it off your files once they have it in >their possession.>I used to do this kind of thing, but for college post grads who were working >on their>dissertations. HI MM. Thanks for the info, it is something to consider here.

As for me, I am not feeling better about anything ,in any area of my life.

I could care less about anything really. It is getting really hard to get out of bed, just the thought of having to function, makes me tired and feel sick.

Do let me know what is going on with you and all your lab work. I am glad the fever is not getting higher little by little.

I have been known to check boxes on lab work as well, sometimes it is a good thing too, they do not always do what they should.

Sounds like you got a lot done from another email I read.

Love ya, normi

Dory. I have " hotbar.com " downloaded onto my puter. I have what are called

" skins " on my browser as well.

I think if you are using outlook express, you can do it as well.

I wrote in recently to ask about outlook and dial up service, as my dad also

wants the hotbar images I get.

I do not have dial up, but I guess from what I got, if you use outlook you

should be able to use the hotbar. There are all kinds of cool things.

You would just have to see it.

I think other people in the group use incredimail also. I have that

downloaded as well, but have yet to check it out.

Love, Normi
