Guest guest
Just FYI.....when I see a recipe posted here, that I want to keep, I copy it and then paste it onto a new email, sending it to myself. Then, I move it to a folder marked SBD. in California > " Fried " Chicken that went out about a week ago from the SB mailing > list. Funny thing happened. Guest guest
My favorite way to oven fry chicken is very similar to this recipe. I use crushed corn flakes, parmesan cheese and chopped almonds. I dip the chiken in butter then roll it in this mixture and bake it. So, for the new version, I will use the olive oil. What cereal could I substitute for the Corn Flakes? I love the crunchiness. in California > Oven-Fried Chicken with Almonds > Phase 2 > Serves 3 > > You don't have to fry your chicken to get that fried taste. Mix thoroughly. > > Place the oil in a shallow dish. Dip the chicken first in the oil, then dredge in the crumb mixture. Place the chicken in a shallow baking pan. > > Bake for 25 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted in the center of a piece registers 170°F and the juices run clear. (Do not turn the chicken during cooking.)
