Guest guest
This is the same horrible antibiotic that started it all for me. I know tell dr's I am allergic to Penicillian--because with this kind of reaction, we are. I had an external yeast infection--no discharge after taking this drug. It took me months to get rid of it. Finally, I used Nystatin for 1 month and it worked. Wishing you better times! I know it sucks.

Guest guest
Hi..I have been here before...Im no stranger to vaginal pain and buring My worst time was a 2 year battle with chronic intense excruciating vaginal burning. Well I had an ear infection a week ago...I was prescribed 500 mg of Amoxicillan 3 times a day to be taken for 7 days. I only took it for 5 days. NOW I have burning and redness and itching in of all places the inner labia. Can yeast or the vulvodynia manifest itself in the inner labia? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks..Jacqui
Guest guest
Antibiotics frequently cause yeast infections. So since you were taking an antibiotic that could be your problem. When I need to take an antibiotic I always ask the doctor if it is something that can be used with yogurt because the yogurt seems to counteract those effects of antibiotics for me. Bear in mind that some antibiotics should not be used with dairy products. Guest guest
Hi Jacqui, I have had a similar problem on both sides of the inner labia, clitoris, & even the rim of the outer lips-severe itching, redness, & burning. It wasn't until the gyn did a biopsy that it turned out to be burrowing yeast. Last Feb. I took 3 weeks of Nizoral and in July I was getting it back again. I took a week of Nizoral which cleared it. But that's just putting a band-aid on something without addressing the underlying problem. I have to rid my body of yeast by going on the Candida diet, taking supplements that get rid of yeast, & I'm also doing a 30-day cleanse from a health food store where you take pills to get toxins out of different parts of your body & pills that encourage elimination to rid your body of these toxins. The book " Complete Candida Yeast Guidebook " by Jeanne Marie is great telling everything you need to know about prevention, treatment & diet and how to boost your immune system and live more healthy such as what pots & pans to use, what supplements to take etc. One thing I'm doing is taking a clove of garlic, cutting it in slices, & putting it on the back of my tongue & swallowing with water. You do this in the MIDDLE of a meal & this will kill candida & other parasites in the small intestines. And guess what-NO GARLIC BREATH. I couldn't believe it. The author describes eating foods that feed the yeast as if you had a basement full of snakes & everyday gave them a nice meal they enjoyed and then wondered why you couldn't use your basement any more.
