Guest guest
Yes, probably my mother and I will go get her. I wanted my mother to have a rest from driving my sister around though. My sister moved to East Bejesus and my mother picks her up about every day for something as it is really my nieces car that is broken. My sister is hardly well enough to drive. She isn't well enough to do most things in life these days and it is destroying my mom. Mental illness is a terrible terrible thing. a Re: thanks > Can't someone pick your sister up? > > > > Please visit our homepage at http://members.xoom.com/AChallengers > You will find information, recipes, before and after pictures. > To contact the list owner please send mail to lindag@... > Visit our 2000 Train Tour Site - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l/web_site_train_tour/actraintour.htm > > >

I know Atkins says 3 C of loosely packed salad or 2 C and 2/3 C of 10% or less veggies. Can I skip the salad occasionally and have 1C of a 10% or less carb instead? Guest guest
As far as I'm concerned if he says 3 cups salad or 2 cups salad w/ 2/3 cup cooked veggies that would also be the same as 1 cup salad w/ 1 1/3 cup cooked vegges or just 2 cups cooked veggies. All veggies give you good nutrients and fiber - the main thing is.... EAT YOUR VEGGIES!! hehehe This round of induction I'm not eating salad because I'm following my safe foods list (I have food intolerances and do an elimination diet) and only have a choice between brocolli, cauliflower, celery, and asparagus right now. I sometimes eat them raw (especially the celery), but more often steam them for both lunch and dinner. It's working fine for me Kirstie

Guest guest
There can be many reasons for slow loss . If you've been a yo-yo dieter in the past, you may find that you lose more slowly. I have a group for turtles (slow losers) and that was a common theme we investigated - it seemed that most of us had a history of dieting many times in the past - our bodies seem to want to hold on to the weight a little more closely! Just keep the faith that it WILL come off Kirstie

Guest guest
We do have a teaching hospital here, and I'll ask my doctor if they have a facility anything like yours, Art. Sounds like a good place. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gail, Your Doc. might not even know about it, mine (who is pretty much in the fog most of the time anyway) did not. I told him about it. My Physical Therapist showed it to me. I had spent a couple of months in that same hospital and did not know it was there:-)My understanding is that most large hospitals with Cardiac/Pulmonary units have them. Some days I feel like I'm " almost " walking normal and than other days, just get me to my recliner! I normally don't have problems with people understanding me unless, on the phone or really tired. The other day I had overdone and I was so tired, I told my husband that I couldn't even understand myself. Some days I'm in my power chair, some days I hardly need me cane. Unfortunately, the bad days are getting more frequent than the good days. Used to be the other way around :-( It usually depends on how well rested I am. A good nights sleep can work wonders for me.
