Aligarh, UP: LOOK IN Weekly & Angelz Trust Launch HIV/AIDS Helpline

Dear Forum:

The ANGELZ [iNDIA] TRUST & LOOK IN Weekly national magazine shall

jointly launch a 24x7 HIV/AIDS HELPLINE on Sunday, the 12th of February, 2006 as

part of their ongoing endevours to fight against the dreaded disease in the

sub-continent.

The Angelz [india] Trust is a registered non-profit non-political and

voluntary registered trust having its headquarters in ALIGARH UP India at

5,UNIQUE PALACE, First Floor, Opposite Sir Sulaiman Hall, Civil Lines,

Aligarh-202002 [india].

The Trust is a listed partner member of the Global Stop TB Programme of the WHO

and has collaborative status with Global Movement for the Children [GMFC]

supported by the UNICEF.

The Trust has a full-fledged lab equipped with the latest ELISA screening test

for HIV and other investigations under one roof and

pre-as well as post-test counselling is provided free of cost.

Vaccination programmes against tetanus, TB, pertussis, diphtheria,

poliomyelitis and Hepatitis -B are currently available at nominal cost at its

STAR POLY CLINIC situated in the Trust office itself.

The Angelz [india] Trust is actively engaged in advocacy, research,

education, healthcare, welfare, legal aid & support to the marginalised sections

of Indian populace since its inception in August 2004.

The 24x7 Helpine Project is being supervised by Dr S. TARIQ WALI, Senior

Physician & Paediatrician who is also Founder and Chairman of the Board of

Trustees of the Trust. The HIV/AIDS-TB Working group under the aegis of the

Trust is headed by Dr. M. Wali, MD,FICN, FACC[uSA], the former Physician to the

President of India and presently the Senior Consultant at Dr RML Hospital, New

Delhi.

This value-added 24x7 Helpline is of its own kind first in western UP and

probably first such step in entire north India. The prelaunch helpline number is

: +919356218824 with help available in THREE languages namely English, Urdu and

Hindi.

Following its formal inauguration on the 12th February, another contact number

shall be communicated to all concerned.
