Guest guest
I should think that would be OK - I have been sticking to eggs (soft boiled), Canadian bacon, cottage cheese with cinnamon (add Splenda to taste), and the quiche cups - on the weekends I have omlettes with veggies, cheese and a bit of ham. I find all these very filling and sometimes I have to force myself to eat my lunch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have all kinds of food for breakfast--some chicken leftovers from the night before. wraps sandwiches, vegetables. ect. Sometimes I eat a breakfast meal for dinner. It all depends on how busy a day I'm going to have. I feel better eating a bigger breakfast sometimes and a lighter dinner. To me there's no such thing as breakfast food or dinner foods. :-)
Guest guest
I'm glad to know what is in the wrap itself. But the ones I've seen advertised have bacon (a no-no) or a cheese sauce (probably full-fat, thus a no-no). Do you know if they will make a regular sandwich as as a wrap? Re: Breakfast ideas I should think that would be OK - I have been sticking to eggs (soft boiled), Canadian bacon, cottage cheese with cinnamon (add Splenda to taste), and the quiche cups - on the weekends I have omlettes with veggies, cheese and a bit of ham. Has anyone else tried these?? What do you think? I thought they were very good. I just had light mayo on mine instead of the ranch sauce they wanted to put on it.Blessings,Debbi in NS Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Guest guest
But you can use egg beaters - it's pasteurized. (or those eggland's best pasteurized (maybe irradiated?) I forget what exactly they do to them... in the shell eggs). Sounds like it's worth a try to me... Guest guest
Quick cheese tortilla... (tastes like a crunchy taco) Take a fry pan (non stick) to medium to medium high heat. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese (not the dehydrated kind that comes in a can - the real cheese kind). You're making a cheese circle - then cooking it to crisp on both sides. When it's rigid and crisp, take it out of the pan. I usually put it on a paper towel to get rid of any excess oil from the cheese, then while it's still hot fold it in half (they're very hot so be careful handling them). When they cool off - they're crisp and folded in a taco shell shape. You can also do little bowls by fitting them over a bowl while still hot - if you wanted to. It may take a bit of practice to get the technique right, but they are quite good, and easy to whip up. Be careful as they are easy to burn if your pan is too hot. If you make them small and leave them flat they make a good cracker substitute, larger and folded make good taco shells. ----- Original Message ----- I'm trying to think of something that would work for you to use for a taco shell. Seems like anything fun has trans fat in it - grrr! However I was just looking stuff up on the internet and saw that Oreos are now trans fat free - I GUESS that's a good thing! It does look to me like it would be allowable. Just don't forget your V-8 or tomato juice. Guest guest
I saw when I was at Subway that you can get any of their subs made as a wrap!! I was very excited to see this as it is hard at times to stick to the SBD at fast food establishments - I had one of their salads (baby spinich) and it was awesome - I didn't use the dressing but I added their fresh veggies and a bit of cheese and left out the bacon bits. Very filling and FRESH. BTW they have garlic flavored almonds on the salad which are sooooooo good! I am finishing Phase 1 today and plan to start Phase 2 tomorrow - I haven't weighed myself yet but I think I lost at least 8 lbs or so and I feel GOOD! I am going to introduce fruit slowly this week = mainly apples and grapefruit! Blessings, Debbi

Guest guest
I had to be on the road extra early so went to Subway and got them to put breakfast in the wrap. Egg, ham, lots of tomatoes. They told me it's a new wrap - looked like whole wheat. It was pretty good but unfortunately the wrap was ice cold. Brrr. BTW - they don't carry tomato juice for some reason. > I saw when I was at Subway that you can get any of their subs > made as a wrap!! Guest guest
Yeah, I saw them last week. Bit pricy though. More expensive than asparagus - but I must admit, the flavor's better. Any SBD friendly recipes besides just boiling them and eating with a bit of olive oil? Sad to report that I was too late in my wild leek picking. (That's ramps to you southern people!) Oh, well, the local rhubarb will soon be on us - can't wait!!! > BTW the FIDDLEHEADS are in the grocery stores now!! YUMMY!!! > YUMMY!!
