Hi everyone and again welcome to the new members! Our e-mail is having

problems so I am having trouble keeping up with everything. I have been

thinking about all of you!

Today, had an appt with a new hep (Dr. Kim Brown at Henry Ford

Hospital in Detroit). We were so encouraged by this visit and the fact

that she spoke with us for over an hour and gave us so much more info

than the first Hepatolgist that we saw. She agreed to put on

high dose Actigall and will see him every six months for now. She even

had picture of Klug on the wall.

When we mentioned 10 years or so might be the time that could

need a transplant she said, " 10???? I'm thinking more like 20. " She

feels that because he has absolutely no Cirhosis, bile duct damage or

any syptoms right now that it will be a while. Of course, she told us

that you never really know the course of the disease and we cannot be

exactly sure. Nontheless, it helped ease some of our fears and most

importantly, we really liked her and her manner.

I guess I feel a sense of relief knowing that we are in good

hands...it's so important to have a doc that you can talk to!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

Great news. Sounds like we could do with a few (many?) clones of Dr. Brown.
